Had a great 4 day stay in a static caravan, very well appointed and spotless, the hot tub was excellent. Highly recommended 5*
Quiet site set in the rolling Derbyshire hills, large size pitches with gravey stands. All pitches have electric- water- waste and TV points, facilities and clean and well kept through I was informed the ladies wasn't as up to date as the gents (25.11.2018). There is also a small shop and Information hut. The main star is the views And walks. Please follow detailed road map as its s bit narrow in places.
Wish there were half stars as I would give 4.5 stars and missing half a star as I wish they had an extra blanket as I got cold during the night. An extra blanket was bought to our lodge after writing this original review. Can't get better service than that so fully deserve their 5*. The place is amazing and so peaceful. Fizz and chocolates were left in the lodge as it was our anniversary break. Staff so friendly and helpful. The hot tub is the perfect end to a day... Couldn't ask for anything more. Have visited before and will be back.... Can't recommend the place enough. A HUGE thank you to everyone xx
Pros: Quiet, no kids, beautifully cleaned and maintained family-run holiday park.Great lodges with good facilities and comfort.Lovely staff.Cons: You have to drive to the nearest village (Longnor), as it's a fair distance and mainly by unlit roads. The internal doors in some lodges are only two feet wide, and open into (rather than out of) the bathroom.The hot tub roof is only just big enough to cover the tub, so your towels get wet if it rains (or snows). Could do with some internal hangers. There are no steps up to the tubs, so take care. The tub was crammed into a tight space, so it was a struggle to move its cover, yet there was a lovely big private space elsewhere.Poor phone signals and pricey wifi.
We stayed 4 nights in a new 2018 caravan which was fantastic. Lovely and clean with decking and a hot tub. Could not fault the site, so quiet and relaxed. Great 4 acre walk for the dog. Perfect place just to chill out highly recommended.
