Caught the site at a quiet time mid-week in September - lovely place to stay and close to the (very pleasant) Manifold Inn.
Lovely basic, cheap campsite (no showers or soap in toilets) but great for a night or two. Lots of walks close by. Good pub and cafe short walking distance.Nice and quiet.Friendly staff. Just pitch up where you like and he pops round (at around 16:00 when I was there) to collect the money.
lovely campsite however last time we stayed a group played music all night long and got into arguments with other campers and police called in the morning. Gave it ago again this weekend and again people up drinking till gone 2 am playing loud music! Such a shame when its such a beautiful spot.
Great spot, perfect for walking biking, beautiful area. Clean toilets. We have our own shower so fine for us.
Spaceous site. Toilets on site. Pub 2 minutes walk away. Loads of footpaths and Manifold Valley cycle path few minutes cycle away. 5 per person. Lovely
